ABB CS31 Procontic ARCNET DDE Server
The Klinkmann Automation ABB CS31 Procontic ARCNET DDE Server (ABB_ARCN) is a Microsoft Windows application program that acts as a communication protocol Server and allows other Windows application programs to access the data from ABB Procontic CS31 automation system using ARCNET network. Any Microsoft Windows program that is capable of acting as a DDE or FastDDE Client may use the ABB_ARCN Server There are following ABB_ARCN Server versions available: - ABB_ARCN DDE Server (32-bit), can be used on MS Windows NT.
FEATURES Requires a PC bus ARCNET adapter card (8 or 16 bit, e.g. ARCNET-PC130E Network Controller Board) based on the SMC ARCNET chip to communicate with ABB Procontic CS31 07KT93 Controllers. Fast data access (2,5 Mhz) to data from the ARCNET bus. The Server supports up to 32 jobs for data transfer between ABB the computer and Procontic CS31 automation system. The Server minimizes system message traffic by dynamically calculating and optimizing poll lists to read only, client-requested items/points. The Server supports multiple topics, allowing different data update rates for controller. The Server provides a communication status flag for each topic. The Server supports standard DDE among multiple applications.
SPECIFICATIONS Hardware: IBM or compatible 386/486/Pentium equipped with a minimum of 4 MB RAM (16 MB RAM for Windows NT). May require more memory to run other Windows programs simultaneously. Software: Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 for DR 010 15 and DR 010 16, W2K for DR 010 16. Maximum Connections: Up to 8 ABB Procontic CS31 07KT93 PLCs can be connected on the ARCNET network.
