The Klinkmann Automation PRINTDDE Server is a Microsoft Windows 32-bit application program that acts as a communication protocol Server and allows other Windows application programs to print special information on the graphical label (e.g. Printronics ) or matrix printers. Any Microsoft Windows program that is capable of acting as a DDE or FastDDE Client may use the PRINTDDE Server.

FEATURES

The Server is used for sending messages to printers from InTouch or other MS Windows applications. The Server enables fast printing directly to appropriate port bypassing the Print Manager. The user defined control commands with DDE item/point current values included can be sent to the printers.

Supports parallel and serial connections.

Supports multiple topics for each printer.

Provides a communication status flag for each topic.

Supports standard DDE among multiple applications.

SPECIFICATIONS

Hardware: IBM or compatible 386/486/Pentium equipped with a minimum of 4 MB RAM (16 MB RAM for Windows NT). May require more memory to run other Windows programs simultaneously.

Software: Microsoft Windows 95 (98), Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, W2K and XP.

Maximum Connections Supports connection to one graphic label printer and one matrix printer at same time.

Devices Supported Graphic label printers and matrix printers.

Accessible DDE items
The DDE item/point naming system consists of two parts:

Reserved DDE tagnames for printer output control.

Lists of changeable DDE items for each topic. The current values of these DDE items can be included in the print messages sent to the printers.
