TELEMECANIQUE DDE Server
The Klinkmann Automation TELEMECANIQUE DDE Server (TELEMEC) is a Microsoft Windows 32-bit application program that acts as a communication protocol Server and allows other Windows application programs to access data from Telemecanique TSX17-20 micro PLC and its I/O extension blocks Any Microsoft Windows program that is capable of acting as a DDE or FastDDE Client may use the TELEMEC Server.
FEATURES Connection requires a TSX 17 ACC8 interface cable and a TSX 17 ACC11 connection kit with 9-pin and 25-pin connectors. The data link is established by connecting TSX 17 ACC11 to the 9-pin serial port on the IBM PC and to the 25-pin connector on the TSX 17 ACC8 (RS 485/RS 232 interface). The 15-pin connector of the TSX 17 ACC8 is connected to the PLC programming port. The TELEMEC Server can communicate with one TSX17-20 micro PLC (with 0...3 I/O extension blocks). The TSX17-20 is a master PLC (with addresses: Station Number equal to FEH, device number equal to 0H) and the IBM PC is a slave (with addresses: Station Number equal to FEH, device number equal to 1H). Minimizes system message traffic by dynamically calculating and optimizing poll lists for client-requested items/points. Supports multiple topics for each Converter, allowing different data update rates. Provides a communication status flag for each topic. Supports standard DDE among multiple applications.
SPECIFICATIONS Hardware: IBM or compatible 386/486/Pentium equipped with a minimum of 4 MB RAM (16 MB RAM for Windows NT). May require more memory to run other Windows programs simultaneously. Software: Microsoft Windows 95 (98), Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, W2K and XP. Maximum Connections: Supports direct connection to one controller.
